Puratos demonstrator to participate in Ironman Japan
Jonathan Léger, one of Puratos' international patisserie demonstrators, will participate in the Japan Ironman, which will be held in Nagasaki on May 28, 2006.
Belgian Jonathan Léger joined Puratos Headquarters as a demonstrator at the age of 23. Since then, he has been playing an active role in introducing the Puratos patisserie range throughout the world. From the beginning he traveled around 100 days a year to different regions all over the world, sharing ideas, introducing and promoting brand new products and innovations. Another part of his job has been demonstrating at national or international exhibitions, where Puratos shows the latest trends in the bakery, patisserie and chocolate businesses. Always ahead, sharing the newest trends, meeting different cultures, are only some of the reasons why he says he gets addicted to this job.
At the same time, he has devoted his "spare time" to participating in triathlon races around the world. Of note, he achieved 4th place in the race held in Korea last year. Due to this result, he became a member of the Belgian triathlon A-Team. Only athletes finishing in one of the top 5 places in Ironman or in one of the top 3 places in European / World Championship are invited to join this A-Team.
Ironman Japan Triathlon Goto Nagasaki is the only long triathlon race (Swim: 3.8 km, Bike: 180.2 km, and Run 42.2 km) held in Japan at present. Jonathan will be the first Belgian to participate in this race. Some higher-ranking finishers may qualify to participate in the World Championship held in Hawaii this year.
Go Jonathan, Go!
